August, the eighth month of the year, has brought with it some very interesting shifts. One being the need for those seeking to finish well to release their booster rockets for a new beginning.
A booster rocket (or engine) is either the first stage of a multi-stage launch vehicle, or else a strap-on rocket used to augment the core launch vehicle’s takeoff thrust and payload capability. Boosters are generally necessary to launch spacecraft into Earth orbit or beyond. In all cases, the booster is dropped into the ocean once its fuel is expended, a point known as booster engine cut-off (BECO). The rest of the launch vehicle continues flight with its core or upper stage engines. The booster may be recovered and reused.
Many times we get to finishes and declare one of the following:
- I’m finished with _____ or ______!?!
- How dare they talk to me like that!?!
- After all we have been through; why now?
- What is up with that?!?
- Everything that glitters isn’t gold!?!
- They always make it through. What’s wrong with me?!?
- God, I want that!?!
- Why can’t I get out of this mess?!?
- If I stop investing in them, I can get somewhere myself!?!
In this season, many are signaling to God a need for a new finish (ending) regarding life’s storylines. Many are on the verge of believing by choice OR rejecting choices in the name of Yeshua. Those destined for a Faithful Finish must understand: everybody cannot enter God’s new orbit for your life. Most times, those presented to be released are those you have had the most investment in, seemingly poured in the most, apparently didn’t heed the teaching or just personally decided “to be finished” too many times. Such individuals are not allowed to come to the next orbit of destiny with you, because faithfulness is required to reach heights never reached before.
Such persons, your booster rockets, were ordained for the season that prepared you for your lift off. However, as the Lord saw fit, it was time for a mutual release. Void of a mutual release, neither party will be able to enter or thrive in the new orbit of God’s Will full of rewards for your faithfulness. Hebrews 11:6 declares, “Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” We please God when we show that we have confidence in God! No matter what is being taken from you have confidence that God will keep your mind faithful.
The battle of the enemy is in our minds. Isaiah 26:3 declares, “You will keep in perfect peace him/her whose mind is steadfast (full of faith), because he/she trusts in you.” Hallelujah! Regardless of what others want to place in our life mirrors (witnesses), when it is not truth but a lie, we must remain full of faith in our thoughts. Those who become disciples of Yeshua (Jesus) must heed the Word of God. God’s Word is clear concerning our need to process love and embrace shifts in strained relationships.
Luke 6:28 admonishes, “Bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you.” Proverbs 19:11 declares, “A [individual's] wisdom gives [him/her] patience; it is to [God's] glory to overlook an offense.” 1 Thessalonians 5:15 proclaims, “Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else.”
When God moves people from your life it doesn’t mean you have the right to mistreat. Then is not the time to “let loose” because you deem the need for them obselete. Let’s line it up, people of God! We are still accountable in words, deeds, emails, texts and our gestures. We will have to give an account for it all! It is time for maturity to abound among those positioned to be as the base of viable ministry and kingdom-building throughout this world. Don’t let your potential in God sidetrack you from God altogether.
I often wonder why those who have the most potential to do great things in God often lose focus the quickest? I am understanding that booster rockets, at one time of another, cannot go higher when they are more attached to a leader than God. Those who create a base in our lives are not permitted to go beyond a certain level of support if their support is based upon remuneration from others. God is the rewarder of them that seek God to fulfill God’s purpose (destiny) for their lives. When God stops someone from going higher with you, this enables you and the other party not to be weighty in “stuff” that can reset everybody connected to you in purpose and power to the start-line. I recognize that some people just do not know how to finish anything.
While worshipping at the break of an international dawn, I asked God, “Why can’t they finish?” God said, “I told you the FAITHFUL finish well in 2012.”
Although eager, anointed, purposed, intelligent, endearing, gifted and accessible, one cannot finish this leg of the season without being faithful to God. I want to be faithful:
- thorough in my service to God (do everything God tells me to do);
- loyal (be steadfast in the things of God and all God has for me and those purposed in my life);
- true to my word (live a life that does not reflect a lie to God, myself and others I must be accountable to); and
- full of faith (steady in my trust in God and God’s ability to do just what God has promised).
That’s the revelatory key! The key is many are full of many things: fear; arrogance; doubt; judgement; promise; love; joy; or even peace. However, void of the fullness of faith — being resolved that God will do what God has promised no matter what – they will finish but it will not be well. To finish well, you must be accountable for you and your decisions. If it is not well then take the time right now to acknowledge: All is not well! Refuse to lie to yourself. Refuse to make excuses. Refuse to procrastinate! Dare to be diligent (painstaking in your effort) to be about the Father’s business! Yes, stop and take a look at yourself knowing that you can stand before the Father to be reconciled for a life that speaks well of the Father and you. When you are able to do such, you are reconciled into community. Yes, you are then free to love as Christ has commanded us. Yes, you are then free to love yourself as God sees you: completing your assignment to manifest a God-finish.
I teach each leader/servant within and without our ministry the importance of a God-finish. How we finish is more important that how we begin. In this year of fulfillment, it is even more paramount for every believer to remain faithful (full of faith) in mind, spirit and service until the end.
The faithful (those full of faith) finish well in 2012.
